Spin the wheel Random animal
Fifty animals kids already know
The list is built so that a first grader recognizes nearly every name. It mixes savanna animals, North American forest animals, sea creatures, birds, reptiles and the usual farm and pet animals. There are no obscure species, because the wheel is mostly used for games where everyone needs to picture the animal right away.
Teachers spin it for writing assignments ("three facts about the animal you got"), art classes and charades. At home it works as a drawing challenge, a bedtime story starter, or a way to choose which stuffed animal joins the car trip. Artists use it for quick warm-up sketches.
Need a narrower set? Delete what you don't want in Entries and keep only the ocean animals for a marine biology unit, or only the farm animals for preschoolers. Your edited wheel stays in this browser.

Animal wheel FAQ
What games can I play with it?
Try animal charades, where the player acts the animal without sounds, or twenty questions, where the spinner keeps the result secret and the others ask yes or no questions. Drawing in under a minute is another favorite.
Can I make a wheel of only sea animals?
Yes. Open Entries, delete the land animals and add more ocean ones like starfish, seahorse or manta ray. The Original list chip restores all 50 later.
Can I add pictures?
The wheel shows text only. For young kids who can't read yet, say the animal out loud after each spin or ask them to make its sound.
Does every animal have the same chance?
Yes, every slice is the same size and the pick comes from your browser's random generator. To favor one, write it with a weight, for example Panda *2.
